Meet Our Herd

CTREE program horses are specially trained and provide a variety of gaits and sensory inputs to accommodate the needs of our riders.

Archie

Archie is a very sweet and friendly 14 year old Cleveland Bay from Bridgehampton. He is our largest horse and makes a perfect companion for our adult riders. He graciously welcomed our two newest herd members in March, and now spends his time off leisurely strolling the paddocks with his new best friends Noodles and Lucky. In the winter he sports an impressive handlebar mustache (yes, really)!

Thank you to his owners, Jagger and Mandy Topping for gracing CTREE with his presence!

Gypsy Honey Queen

CTREE's only mare, Gypsy truly runs the show. Her ears may not often be forward facing, but don't let that fool you! Gypsy is so sweet she'll give you kisses all day long. Living up to her title, she keeps Mosely in line when he's up to his regular shenanigans, and is always there to greet visitors to the barn with curiosity and style.

Thank you to her owner, Annie Beeson, for sharing the love with CTREE!

Lucky

Since arriving from Montauk at CTREE this past Spring, Lucky has quickly worked his way into the hearts of many. He's our only white horse, but not very often, as he has a knack for finding the best dirt spot to roll in after he gets a bath. Sweet as can be (though a little naughty on occasion when given the opportunity), Lucky has built strong connections with CTREE riders and Staff alike.

Thanks to his owner, Kelly Foster, we are “lucky” to have him here!

Noodles

Noodles from Montauk is a new member of the herd; he and Lucky joined the CTREE family in the Spring of ‘22 and have settled in well. He’s got a solid frame, a good working walk, and a soft heart. His favorite hobbies include mutual grooming with his best friend Archie, and lovingly nickering for passersby.

Thanks to his owner, Kelly Foster for this lovely addition to our herd.

Adopt a CTREE Horse!

Your donation helps keep our horses happy, healthy, and provides everything they need to fulfill our mission. Each adoption comes with a plaque bearing your name and will be placed on your adopted horse's stall. You will receive updates regarding your horse throughout the year as well as scheduled time to visit your new friend. Makes a great gift!

Our Herd’s Wishlist

We routinely need supplies and equipment for our horses, riders, volunteers, and staff to maintain our barn and care for our horses so we can provide effective lessons to our riders.
