Inaugural Spring Swing: Golf for a Cause was a swinging success!

We had gorgeous blue skies and breathtaking views for a day of golf followed by cocktails, silent auction, and dinner. We can’t wait until next year! Karen’s Retirement Party

We had a lovely lunch at East Hampton Golf Club to celebrate the retirement of our program director and founder, Karen Bocksel. Karen has been an essential part of CTREE’s growth from the start. She has devotedly and successfully obtained PATH accreditation for CTREE making us the only PATH accredited therapeutic riding center on the East End. She has had a profound impact on our riders, their families, and our volunteers. CTREE is grateful for you, Karen, and we wish you all the best with your adventures to come! CTREE lesson fees, the lowest on LI, cover only a quarter of total costs. We rely on donor support and fund-raisers such as Horses Changing Lives to make up the difference. Seventy-five percent of our at-risk and special needs school programs are assisted by CTREE scholarships, and one-third of our local riders receive additional financial aid. One hundred percent of our Horses Heal program is funded by CTREE and we have partnered with Fighting Chance to provide equine therapy for cancer patients.
